Tomorrow is Pioneer Day, July 24th. A day set aside, especially in Utah, to celebrate those who crossed the plains. It’s a great time to kick back and enjoy some good old fun with food, friends, and family. Here’s hoping everyone has a great day!

“The American Dream is clearly on the mend…” said Earl Lee, president of Prudential Real Estate. A recent yearly survey taken by Brookfield Real Estate and Relocation Affiliates, Inc, showed that Americans have become gradually more confident in homeownership. 69% of people surveyed believe that Real Estate is a good investment, 72% expressed confidence that the real estate market will continue to improve in the next two years, and 64% have a very positive view of the United States housing market.

In a recent study, Provo was ranked the Number 1 place for business and careers in America.  Ogden ranked Number 6.  The study focused on job metrics, costs, income growth, quality of life, education, and more.  It is further confirmation that Utah is a great place to live and work.

On this day in 1776, the newly formed Second Continental Congress formally voted and adopted the resolution for independence from Great Britain. This day is mostly forgotten as the date of July 4th is the preferred day.
