Independence Day!

How are you going to celebrate Independence Day? On Monday, July 4th, you can swing by Provo’s Grand Parade in the morning, then the Provo Towne Centre’s Car Show in the afternoon. In 1777 Americans celebrated with speeches, toasts, 13-gun salutes, parades, and fireworks. In 1778, General George Washington gave his soldiers a double ration of rum. However you choose to celebrate, have a great time!

Let Freedom Ring!

Thought of the Week –

“It ought to be celebrated by pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations from one end of this continent to the other…” – John Adams’ thoughts on Independence Day in a letter to his wife, Abigail.

We encourage you to have a safe and spectacular Fourth of July!

Our Jell-O is Greener!

According to Parenting magazine, Salt Lake City ranked in the top ten for “Best in Economy.” Though our economy may have only been ranked at number four, we “consume more Jell-O per capita than any other city in the United States.” To celebrate, we’re breaking out the green Jell-O and carrots!

Thought of the Week –

The Grass is Greener in St. George!

St. George is one of four greatest places to retire! The Huntsman World Senior Games happen every October, drawing thousands of mature athletes to St. George. Located only ten miles from Snow Canyon, 45 minutes from Zions National Park, and three hours from the Grand Canyon, St. George is an excellent place for those who enjoy the outdoors. And for those who prefer, as Mark Twain put it, “a good walk spoiled,” there are at least 10 golf courses to choose from.
