Memorial Day 2011!

On Amazon’s Top 20 “most well-read” US cities, Salt Lake City came in at number 7! College towns topped the list; purchasing books, magazines, and newspapers in print and for Kindle e-readers. Mari Malcolm, a managing editor for Amazon said, “We hope book lovers across the country enjoy this fun look at where the most voracious readers reside, and that everyone gets the chance to relax with some great summer reads.” At the very least, our excellent friends will have our Grass is Greener news bits every week!

“The bravest are surely those who have the clearest vision of what is before them, glory and danger alike, and yet notwithstanding, go out to meet it.” - Thucydides

Eye of the Tiger!

The Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce reported that, “Although improvement has been gradual, Utah is among a handful of states leading the nation’s economic recovery.” Utah’s economy has grown 3.5 percent in the past five years, which has lead to the state’s lower than average unemployment rate. Score one for the Beehive State!

Mount Vernon!

George Washington built his home just like his character, piece by piece over time. Mount Vernon is the physical embodiment of everything the father of our country stood for; hard work, dedication, and style!
