Confidence in the nation’s housing market among homebuilders rose this month to a six and a half year high. 
The rise was motivated by the strong demand for recently built homes and mounting optimism that the housing recovery will continue to grow in the next year.

Utah continues to see healthy growth in manufacturing as output reached the highest level in seven months in September. This is an encouraging sign which shows local manufacturers have increased confidence in the economy.

Utah’s Jobless Rate is Still One of the Lowest in the Nation
Utah’s economy continues to outperform most other states.  Our jobless rate, currently 5.4%, is well below the national rate of 7.8% and is the eighth lowest rate in the country.  We live in a great place to do business.

Utah already has one of the best unemployment rates in the country, and according to the Bureau or Labor Statistics, it just got better, dropping from 6.2 percent in July down to 5.6 percent in August.
