March Pending Home Sales Rise and the Market is Recovering

According to the Pending Home Sales Index, an indicator of contract signings, this March the number of homes under contract increased 12.8% from March of 2011. This rise in contract signings is a terrific estimate that 2012 will be a year of recovery for the real estate market.

GOED Approval Could Bring 1,100 Jobs to Utah

Four companies all based in Utah have been approved for incentives by the Governor’s Office of Economic Development. The companies are planning to bring a total of 1,133 new jobs over the next 20 years. The four companies are Xactware Solutions, Peterbilt of Utah, Schiff Nutrition International Inc, and finally FLSmidth.

Major Growth in Commercial Real Estate Construction for Utah

Utah ranked No. 6 last year in spending on commercial real estate construction. The strong surge in this development means really great news for the growth of Utah’s jobs and for the economy as a whole.

2012 Utah House Sales Up from 2011

Within the first three months of 2012, all along the Wasatch front there has been an 18% rise is home sales from last year at this time.  The rise in sales is a positive indicator for a rising economy in Utah.

Utah # 1 in Least Amount of Student Debt

Experts compiled a list of states across the nation to find out which states have the least amount of student debt, and Utah came in at the number one slot. Top ten include:  1) Utah, 2) Hawaii, 3) New Mexico, 4) Nevada, 5) California,  6) Arizona, 7) Georgia, 8) Kentucky, 9) Tennessee, 10) Wyoming.

New Utah Program could Help Homebuyers

The Utah Housing Corporation announced last week a new mortgage program that could help former home buyers become home owners once again, as well as new buyers become official home owners. The new program will help those who need down payment assistance as long as the house meets the Federal Administration property criteria.
