National Dog Day is a great day to celebrate that special canine in your life! National Dog Day was August 26th this year and honors all dogs , wherever they are or whatever they do. Dogs play a huge role in day to day life, serving others without question and loyally being there until the end.

Those of us who reside here know that Utah is a great place to live and do business.  Forbes magazine agrees.  In a recent article announcing the best places to live in America, Ogden ranks 2nd on the list, and Provo-Orem follows next in 3rd place.  The criteria included the unemployment rate, crime rate, and cost of living.  Personally, I’d also include the gorgeous mountain scenery and fantastic recreational opportunities.

Tomorrow is Pioneer Day, July 24th. A day set aside, especially in Utah, to celebrate those who crossed the plains. It’s a great time to kick back and enjoy some good old fun with food, friends, and family. Here’s hoping everyone has a great day!
